Course information

This two day pre-retirement course is classed as Mixed as it is a mixture of people from all backgrounds and companies and open to everyone.

These Open or Mixed Courses are usually held each month at Beeston Town Hall.  The January and February Courses will be at Beeston Town Hall but  as from March, alternative venues will be used in Beeston at either the Civic Centre or Middle Street Resource Centre. Subjects include:-Pensions/Benefits/Concessions/Finance/Wills/Legal Advice/Health/Diet/Fitness/Tax/Consumer Rights/Security/Voluntary Service/Library Service/How to enjoy your extra Hours of Leisure.

Lunch is provided and speakers available to answer an personal queries during the breaks.  A Resource pack is available to take home and refer to after you have retired.

Ideally for people within 3 years of retirement so that you can plan ahead.

The Town Hall is easily accessible for wheelchair users, it has automatic doors, lifts and disabled toilets. There are designated disabled parking bays nearby.

There are many All Day Long Stay car parks within the vicinity, including Derby Street, Albion Street, Middle Street and Station Road. Pay and Display tickets will need to be purchased at £2. (Parking in the Council’s Car Park is not allowed for anyone, including disabled badge holders).

The Town Hall operates a No Smoking Policy.

All delegates will need to “sign in” at Reception, where they will collect a Visitor’s Pass and will then be directed to the room location.
